Flake/Quartz Epoxy or Fast Floors
SIMPLY Beautiful!

These are photos of what are called "full flake" or "to rejection" types of epoxy floors.  In this application, the floor gets its color and texture from a total coverage of decorative flakes.  No concrete is exposed.  Flake is broadcast into the primer coat of epoxy at a rate of 25-35 lbs of flake per 100 sq. ft section.

Once dried, we scrape the surface to remove points, vacuum and re-prep the floor for a top coat of encapsulating resins.

SPECIAL *** We can help you to create a custom flake pallet, or share existing blends with you.
Check out this design tool:

With it you can design your own custom blend.  Save the page and send it to us.  We take it from there.

We can also create this floor with colored sands, (Quartz). Our material vendor is the largest distributor of colored quartz.  We can create virtually any color blends.  When this process is done with quartz, we generally apply 3 coats of epoxy in the process which allows for a much better end result.  This is called a "double broadcast" quartz floor.

Need to return your space to functionality ASAP??? Like the look of these floors?  In dry, above grade floors, we can utilize non-epoxy materials called polyaspartics and polyurea's.  These fast setting plastic-like materials are non-temperature sensative, set up in hours and go down very thinly.  The floor takes its appearance from the blend of chips or sand (quartz) placed into the wet resins.  The resins are clear.  The chips/sands are lain to rejection.  Once hardened, we scrape off the excess and place a final clear coat of these resins to lock everything down.  The room should be fully dry within hours and returned to service.

*** Fast setting floors should ONLY be installed by qualified, trained and well practiced concrete coating professionals such as Amazing Garages.  There are no warranty's on polyaspartic floors due to their intolerance to moisture.  OUR epoxy base/aspartic top coat floors DO HAVE A 6 year warranty.  It takes 12-18 hours before the epoxy base coat can be locked down with an aspartic, so these floors do take longer to install.

Many new franchise upstarts have popped up seeking clients to practice their craft upon.  Ask questions, find out how many floors your applicators have installed.  The truth will surprise you.  You want to know the level of expertise in your LOCAL installation team and not the "corporate answer".  "Corporate" will not be installing your floor.  BE AWARE.

Also, as these materials set up as fast as they do, they do not bond with the floor as well as proven 100% solids epoxy will.  Also, if there is any moisture vapor pressure in the floor, epoxy may hold back up to 12 lbs while fast setting resins will NOT. This is their major source of failure and is not a warranty issue.   They are very sensitive to moisture pressure and will peel off quickly when moisture presents itself.  We have heard ALL of the CLAIMS of these materials being superior to epoxy.  NOT SO !!!  They have their place. (Low temp installs, fast return to service, etc).  Stronger than epoxy??? 20 year warranty's???  We simply cannot accept these claims without ANY proof, beyond claims made by chemical companies.  Although these resins have been used in pipelines and in auto part manufacturing, they have only RECENTLY been used in garage environments.  They have NOT been installed for as long as these warranty's are being offered.  Ask questions and choose your installation team wisely!!!
